Energy Audits Innovative Home Energy Solutions provides Energy Audits (for Homes, Buildings, etc.). An energy audit is where the energy efficiency is evaluated using professional equipment (blower doors, infra-red cameras, etc.), with the aim being to provide the best ways to improve energy efficiency in heating and cooling within the area, home or building. (The audit may also assess the efficiency, physical condition, and programming of mechanical systems such as the heating, ventilation, air conditioning equipment, and thermostat.)
Solar Energy A partial list of solar applications includes space heating and cooling through solar architecture, potable water via distillation and disinfection, daylighting, solar hot water, solar cooking, and high temperature process heat for industrial purposes. To harvest the solar energy, the most common way is to use solar panels. (Solar technologies are broadly characterized as either passive solar or active solar depending on the way they capture, convert and distribute solar energy.)
